Early Diversionary Support Network (EDSN) East Kimberley
Key Assets have been approached by the Department of Communities to deliver a 12-month grant to develop and strengthen a network of services to support families in the East Kimberley. Key Assets Australia in partnership with Wunan Foundation, Jungarni Jutiya and Ngnowar Aerwah currently deliver Family Support and Wellbeing Services.
The EDSN is for Parents/Carers/Responsible Adults seeking help in accessing support services for themselves and members of their family (excluding children who in the care of the Department of Communities), and Young People aged 18-25 who are coming out of care and are seeking help in accessing support services. Priority will be given to Aboriginal families.
The EDSN is a network of agencies that provide support services across the East Kimberley to families. Coordinators are based in Kununurra and Halls Creek and offer support services relating to health & wellbeing, housing, education, parenting, legal & financial and training & employment.
EDSN provides a single point of contact (EDSN Coordinator) in liaising with clients or re-referring them to more appropriate agencies which prevents “doubling-up of service provision”.
